Pattaya to Koh Larn: Ferry vs Speedboat
We recommend you should start your journey in the early morning. If you leave the hotel late, the area around the pier and the roads may get quite crowded, and you might end up waiting in long queues, which could make you feel tired before reaching Koh Larn.
Bali Hai Pier
We’ll start our journey from DeeProm Pattaya Hotel to Bali Hai Pier. You can take a truck taxi (kind of minibus), motorcycle or taxi which costs around 90-120 baht. The travel time is about 8-10 minutes, depending on traffic conditions each day.
Take a Ferry or Speedboat to Koh Larn
When you arrive at Bali Hai Pier, you can walk straight from the entrance bridge to the dock. There will be two options.
option 1 koh larn speedboat : The price per person is around 150-200 baht, depending on the provider and takes approximately 15-20 minutes to koh larn.
option 2 koh larn ferry : There are two floors, the ticket is 30 baht and takes about 30-45 minutes to koh larn.

We recommend you should arrive at the dock about 30 minutes before the boat departure time so you can choose your seat. If you’re late, you might have to stand.

Best beaches at Koh Larn Island
When you arrive at Na Ban Pier, walk straight to the end of the bridge, then turn left. Walk through the small alley, you’ll see Wat Mai Samraan and truck taxis are parked on the opposite side of the temple. In that area, there is a map with prices for the journey to each beach at Koh Larn and you can tell the driver which beach you want to visit.
Activity seekers must visit Tawaen Beach
The first beach to visit with DeeProm is Tawaen Beach. The fare for a truck taxi from the Na Ban pier to Tawaen Beach is 20 baht per person. Renting the entire vehicle costs 200 baht. Sangwan Beach is on the left side of Tawaen Beach, you can walk about 15 minutes. It’s conveniently located near the pier. This beach signature is a long white bridge leading to the shore, where content creators love to snap photos here. Once you cross the bridge, you’ll find a restaurant and cafe nearby. Sangwan Beach offers a tranquil atmosphere and provides privacy. There are no activities available here except for renting beach tents. Let’s go to the right side of Tawaen Beach for about 20 minutes to reach Thong Lang Beach by walk. Thong Lang Beach is larger and busier than Sangwan Beach but not as crowded as Tawaen Beach. The highlight of this beach is the colorful beach tents that provide perfect photos. Activities here include jet ski rentals and various dining options.
Wide with plenty of shady trees, perfect for picnics and also great activities : Tien Beach
To get to Tien Beach, we need to take a truck taxi from Tawaen Beach for 30 baht each, which takes around 10 minutes. Tien Beach is relatively wide, quiet, and less crowded, making it perfect for relaxation. The highlight here is the heart-shaped trees, ideal for couples or friends to photoshoots. Besides, if you’re lucky, you might see seagulls. Tien Beach is popular for sunbathing and picnics due to its ample shade from trees.
